KBeauty First impressions: Tia’m Korea My Signature C-Source Serum (former OST Original Pure Vitamin-C C20 Serum)

by - Monday, June 04, 2018

This is not exactly a first impressions because I have been using this for a couple of weeks (not daily though) so I will report back after I finish it all.

Remember when this happened? Yes, I got after three months my C Source Serum by Tia'm but it was super yellow and it made bubbles! So I asked my abcommunity for help and instead I got an answer from Tia'm team themselves offering me for a replacement! Is that good customer service or WHAT?

So after a couple of weeks I got a parcel from Tia'm YAAAY!

And I got two mask samples which I will be reviewing soon!

To be honest I almost cried...They were so nice, they didn't have to but they are so convinced of the efficacy of their product that they offered this replacement for free and I am so forever grateful because I really wanted to test it out.

One of my pet peeves are my large pores and vitamin C allegedly helps with that, radiance and also reduces spots. So we'll see how it goes.

Last time my serum arrived yellow and that is supposed to happen when Vitamin C has oxidized and lost most of its effectiveness, but what threw me off the most were the bubbles, that didn't seem safe at all. But this time the serum arrived transparent.

And this is after a couple of weeks after I opened it, you're supposed to leave it in the fridge but it's been really cold lately and I didn't think it was necessary but as soon as the temperature started rising and saw a slight change in colour I decided to put it in the fridge just as suggested:

Product: Tia’m Korea My Signature C-Source Serum (former OST Original Pure Vitamin-C C20 Serum)

Claims:

Exfoliates skin
Removes blackheads
Brightens  skin
Prevents aging

Ingredients:
Water, Ascorbic Acid, Alcohol, Sodium Lactate, Butylene Glycol, Glucose, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, 1,2-Hexanediol, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Xanthan Gum, Diethoxyethyl Succinate, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Flower Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Glycerin, Zinc PCA, Panthenol, Niacinamide, t-Butyl Alcohol, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Beta-Glucan, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lecithin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ubiquinone, Diisopropyl Adipate

Opinion: I think it's a mixture of gel and liquid. So far, I do notice my skin looks brighter after using it, I've only been using it at night to avoid photo sensitivity. If I exfoliate I feel a slight sting for a while so try to avoid that.

My skin looks radiant after I use it but I am waiting to see results on the sun spots I have to report back. So far I like it, specially the scent..yum. Citrusy goodness. It leaves a slight sticky residue but it disappears after I put my moisturizer on.
